Empowering Citizens To Protect Themselves And Their Families From Violent Criminals
With police response times to emergency calls averaging 11 minutes nationally, stopping a violent attack will most likely rest solely with you... The intended victim. You may have to fight an attacker - or be victimized - for anywhere from 4 minutes to more than an HOUR before help arrives!
Don't think it can't happen to you. It can happen to anyone, any time, at any place. And as bad as things are now, it will likely get worse before it gets better. Another critical FACT that you need to know is that, on more than one occasion courts - including the U.S. Supreme Court - have ruled that police are under no obligation to protect the individual. Stated more plainly, the police are under no obligation to protect YOU as an individual. You are, for all intents and purposes, your own first responder. Your safety, and the safety of your loved ones, is entirely on you. The police are your backup! How prepared are you to protect yourself and your family should you suddenly become the target of a violent predator? |

What We Do
Every master of every skill has one thing in common... Solid Fundamentals. And every one of them started at the same level: beginner. The one's who mastered their skills or talents are the ones who took the time to first master the fundamentals, often under the tutelage of a coach or teacher whose mission was to build a solid foundation of perfect (or close to perfect) basic elements.
This is our training philosophy; to first provide students with a solid foundation by mastering the elemental skills of personal defense. These are the skills you will rely on - and revert to - should you ever actually need to use them. That's why we focus on the basics. And why we mainly focus on the skills required for the types of situations you're most likely to encounter in everyday life.
This is also why we don't just focus on firearms. The overwhelming majority of crimes against the person do not rise to a level that would justify the use of deadly force. Instead, the overwhelming majority of these crimes can be handled with force that is way less than lethal. Additionally, there are untold numbers of citizens who are not comfortable with firearms but could still benefit from personal security training. And those who are comfortable with firearms will be more competent and confident in their personal security skills.
That's who we are. That's what we do. Join us today and let's start building your foundation.

What We DON'T Do
Unlike other associations, we do not send never-ending requests for more of your hard-earned money. Our members pay dues ONCE per year and we live within that budget. There are no high-paid lobbyists on our payroll and we do not grease the palms of politicians in order to persuade them to vote in our favor. We are truly a grass roots organization that fights for the rights of all citizens through consistent and meaningful efforts. However, we do accept donations from members who wish to give a little extra or from non-members who wish to support our efforts.
Because there is a lot more to personal security than just firearms, we do not focus solely on firearm training. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with firearms, and that the use of firearms is strictly limited to circumstances where an "imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury" is present. As a USPDA member you'll have access to instruction for all types of scenarios; from conflict avoidance to evasion and escape methods, and from firearms to non-lethal alternatives should avoidance and evasion tactics fail.
We will not overload your email with "newsletters" or other unsolicited junk. We're a little too busy training, creating content, and scouring the news for information that's relevant to the group, and will post important stories and information on our website or social media platforms. If you're a member you know where to find us, you don't need us to remind you by constantly filling your inbox with click-bait.
You can join USPDA with the peace of mind that you'll get the best training available to keep yourself and your loved ones safe, and be part of a group that fights for the rights of victims, without the constant letters and emails begging for more money!
